EU Shipping Pause

As some of you are no doubt aware, on August 12th, a new range of packaging restrictions and regulations are coming into effect for the EU. There are a number of additional registrations that we appear to need, and we also need to make sure our packaging is compliant with the new rules. Sadly, in true regulatory fashion, what exactly needs to be done appears to be slightly different depending on who you talk to or listen to – and some of the EU nations are still in the process of announcing their particular regulations with days to go. Unfortunately, every EU nation now has their own rules and registrations that we have to sort out.

As we are such a small team, it’s going to take us a bit of time to sort through all the new regulations. Unfortunately, this means that we’re going to need to temporarily pause EU shipping until we’re certain we’re meeting the new regulations.

What does this mean for you? At the moment, just that your books might take a bit longer to reach you. We have no intention of cancelling any existing pre-orders, but we will also not be taking payment for any EU pre-orders until we can ship them. We’re going to set aside books for all EU orders, and will hopefully be able to get them moving again to you before too long.

We’re really sorry that we have to do this, even temporarily, but beg your patience while we make sure we’re compliant with the new rules.
